Membership in IEEE is open to individuals who by education or experience give evidence of competence in an IEEE designated field of interest. The designated fields are, in broad terms: Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology, Physical Sciences, Biological and Medical Sciences, Mathematics, Technical Communications, Education, Management, Law, and Policy.
IEEE as a whole is factioned into many sections that deal withsubjects related to EE Profession, Educational, Employment, Networking, Industry Standards, News, and much more. The IEEE CSU Student Branch is dedicated to keeping Cleveland State University IEEE members up to date and involved with all of the functions, projects, and ideas related to our group (and sometimes more). To join our online community we would prefer you to first join the IEEE Organization. IEEE CSU is the student branch organized under the main IEEE intety, which you can select while registering for your IEEE membership.
By joining the main organization you not only gain access to a great community of people, you also get a monthly subscription to IEEE Spectrum; the IEEE Job Site, Membernet, members-only programs on IEEE.tv and an IEEE email alias.
By joining our IEEE CSU Community you gain access to IEEE CSU related information pertaining to event and project updates and also the ability to virtually interact with the community. Plus joining this site is *FREE*!
